Is it a mistake that really matters if a non-native speaker uses ‘yours sincerely’ at the end of an email when the dictionary says they should use ‘yours faithfully’?

What about ‘with friendly greetings’ or ‘bye, and have a nice day?

Your answer could help save a carreer.

THX in advance

If you really need to save your Carer, “yours faithfully”.

If your career is on the line, overfamiliarity will not help, use “yours sincerely” - and mean it.

If you have the same job as the original Cinderella, don’t bother to write.

THX was a robot in a science-fiction movie, not a sign-off.

RGDS in arrears.

Sincerely (but not “yours sincerely”)
Yours truly
With regards
With kind regards
Failthfully (although probably not in a business communique)

p.s. It’s “career,” not “carreer.”

That should guarantee that you lose the job.

I use Norton System Works, which is an anti-virus combined with system and hard drive repair software. Your PC will come with some trial application, though. As long as you’re protected by something other than a flu shot, you should be OK.

I am a n00b when it comes to mac’s. I will write a short message you about what happened. In the morning I sent an im to some1 I know well. She sent me a hyperlink to something cool. I have opened it and downloaded a codec needed to watch the short clip, it went ok but after an hour or so I got many popups with banners all over my dekstop :(

Help anyone?

Hello

When I want to burn a music DVD on iTunes it starts making this strange clicking noise and doesn’t end up burning the CDRW.
I tried using the regular drag and drop onto the DVDRW burning folder itself and it still makes this odd clicking noise.
I’m using sony CD and they worked fine when I first got them then all of a sudden it’s doing this.
I’ve tried another brand of disk (Maxell) and it’s still making the same noise…

Any advice anyone?

Try a repair shop and take your advertising with you, not interested.

It is hard to say what some folks want.  I watched some of the You Tube. Boring.  But someone may enjoy it. Steve Jobs? Is that you?
