Just purely out of curiosity, I’m interested to know what you all think—-

What keeps a person from doing, wholeheartedly, what they truly want to do in life. Everyone has a ‘list’ of things they want to do before they die. So why aren’t more people taking advantage of every moment to make those things happen? After all, we don’t know which day might be our last. I know this all seems very cliche - but I am curious what holds a person back from the deep desires that makes them who they are. To tie it all back in to YD - what is(are) the most appropriate word(s), in your opinion, for a reluctance to fulfill those desires.

regards,

Education, environment, money.

I’ve considered this as well…but the more I think about it, these are all things that are easily altered. Education is always readily available. You can always reposition yourself to/from any given environment. Money also is always available as long as your willing to do what’s necessary to attain it.

I guess I’m just curious what part of a person’s character will prevent them from changing their education/environment/money/any other number of factors to reach their goals.

Inertia - once you’re on the roll, its easy to keep going. Getting started requires a jolt.

btw, bjb, the jolt would be to get away from that keyboard, step outside as soon as you read this, and do something that you’ve always wanted to do, then come back and tell us about it (if you didn’t get arrested).

That’s very true—to see a big change, you’ve got to make a big change.

I’ll get right on that jolt, and let you know how things go…as soon as I clock out.  ; )

Absolutely! You have to do something to pass the time.

Absolutely Ben I agree!!! And if this is what it takes to pass the time… then this is what it will have to be!
Good morning by the way…. And I miss getting to talk to you everyday now that I’m all the way down here.

I miss it too! How are things on the other side of the room??

Haha - yeah, they seem pretty entertaining. I wouldn’t mind moving down there, but I just hate to leave Katie all by her lonesome. Oh well… maybe I can figure something out with her.

BTW, where’s Tosha been lately??

Ya we would love to have you move down here, you should see about joining us.
Tosha has been at home taking care of Brayden. Kevin has walking pnemonia and is really sick so he cant watch him. She sould be back anytime though, I really thought that she would have been here today….

It would be a blast, that’s for sure!!

I had no idea that Kevin was sick. Walking pneumonia is no fun at all. Does she have some sort of FMLA leave or anything to take care of Brayden?? It’s a huge bummer that she’d have to take an occurrence for that.

Ya I’m not sure about her FMLA but I am sure she is probably working something out with Jon so she doesnt have to accumulate so many points. He is usually pretty good about keeping us from getting points if there is a good reason for missing work. He has a new baby so Im sure he understands how it is.

That’s true. Jon really is awesome when it comes to understanding ‘life’ things. I know he’s had my back plenty of times. He’s a good guy.

So it looks like the girls are winning the lunch contest. I’ve been considering bribery…

Ya I am pretty happy to have him for a boss… He is a lot better than some of the others.
Ya the girls definately rule! Maybe you could talk some of those girls down there with sharing their lunch with you!
I just wish they would put us back on inbound…. only outbound is getting very boring! I can only take someone hanging up on me for so long! Hope the calls are better down that way then they are over here.
