Denizen/Citizen family (and lesser-known relatives?)

I’m wondering if there is room to make up my own words using the format of denizen and citizen. Can I refer to my housemates as domizens? (from Latin domus, house - for lack of a Middle English/Anglo-French root). Might beach bums prefer to be called actizens? (from Latin acta, seashore).
Apologies if this matter has been discussed already.

You see, it’s not my ankles anyone needs to be a-feared of (although quite skinny)...it’s the mid-section that’s the show stopper.  wink
