Ahem…HI fellows here’s a few funny relations that I found between Tamil and English
English:Victory       Tamil:vetry(victory)
English:Prize         Tamil:Parisu(price)
English:Anaconda   Tamil:Anai condan (Elephant-catcher)
English:Postprandial Tamil:pandi(meal)
I just don’t know if these are purely coincidental…The only way these could have got to english is through greeks, as they traded with the Tamils..even the word “rice” is from tamil “arisi” to greek “arizon”.Can anyone conjure some relation like that?

In fact the relationship of English from Tamil words is ultimately very huge. Here more words :

coolie - Tamil is proposed by some as the language of origin, from கூலி cooli a Tamil word for labour.

ginger - The English word ginger is derived from the Middle English gingivere, which in turn comes from Old English gingifer and from Old French gingivre, both from Medieval Latin gingiber. The Latin word is derived from Greek zingiberis, of Middle Indic origin (akin to Pali singiveram), from Dravidian roots, akin to Tamil இஞ்சி வேர் iñcivēr—இஞ்சி iñci = ginger (of southeast Asian origin) + Tamil வேர் vēr = root.

curry - from Tamil கறி kaṟi, sauce

cash - The primary meaning of the word cash, paper money, or money in general, comes from Latin capsa, chest. A secondary meaning of cash, referring to any of various coins used in southern India and China, comes ultimately from Tamil காசு kācu
