Hi all, I’m looking for a word that describes a youth with great ambitions. A few related words / similar words would be: journey, wide-eyed wanderer,  vagrant, vagabond, traveler. Those words are somewhere along the lines of what I’m looking for, but they don’t quite do it for me.  The word I’m looking for should also have a romantic feeling to it. The word can be in any language, not just English. I’m not sure if such a word even exists, but I’d like to see if anyone has any ideas. Cheers.

In Tamil we have a word “valeban” which, when roughly translated would mean a robust youth with high aspirations, ijust at the ripe age of romance…but what you wanted exactly can be found in the feminine form…mangai..meaning a nubile maiden with a wonderful form, fine shape and wide, glassy eyes..I could just go on and on….
Another option is Paranjothy..a handsome warrior in Tamil history whose name means “Seeker of heavenly light”

It certainly would not apply any longer to the governor of Illinois. High aspirations, maybe, but now foiled.

If you can put a name to Mutt in the latest Indiana Jones movie, you might come up with a term.
