Does the bulletin board code have an escape character or sequence? One  that says "Don’t interpret what follows, just display as written"?

DJ, there is a check box for the smileys, but if you’re talking about the [commands], then I think the answer is no…

But it would be worth having! smile

A couple of times I’ve posted something and a couple characters in mid sentence would get conjured into a smiley unintentionally.

I was just wondering if there was a way to avoid it. After I typed that I see there’s a check box to disable smilies.

Oh well, I guess I answered my own question.

I’ve frequently had a number ending in 8 followed by a right parenthesis turned into a 8).  I just end up going back and putting a space between them to turn this:
(8)
into this:
(8 ).

I’m  8) now!
