Last night while watching the baseball game, the question arose:  why does "K" signify a strike out?

Robearsn,

You can prevent this s t r e t c h i  n g by using the url button and putting an = after the first url and before the ] and inserting it there and then inbetween the opposing ] [ brackets inserting the topic or name of the webpage!

Please!

Some search engines put a lot of rubbish in the URL and use masking of the original URL that should have been:
http://www.baseballlibrary.com/baseballlibrary/features/experts/08_30_00.stm

As Sitran mentioned, you can use something like:

Have a look at Baseball library for the answer.

which hides the URL and leaves you with: Have a look at Baseball library for the answer.

Thank you.  After putting up that last post I was actually going to ask how to do that.

Hello again!  Sorry to have been AWOL from my own post for so long.  I’m new to this website, and I must confess I asked my first question on impulse and then promptly let it slip my mind, not fully trusting that my query would warrant a response.  But you guys came through with flying colors, to use an idiom whose origins I’m sure I could trace in that section.  Plus I even got a little URL tutorial that soared over my semi-Luddite head, but at least I got the general idea!

At any rate, I just wanted to thank you for responding to my question.  I’ll see you ‘round!
