How can a regular dude like me get five stars above his name?  Any sucking up required, years of being an Agoran, numbers of post (for that matter, KatyBr would have fifteen or so)?

I think I’m the ‘oldest’ fellow here without five stars. I remember back when Sitran had only three.
It takes thousands of posts, hours of devotion, and years of worship to enter the five-star clique.

Yes, and I think we all (well, all us old-timers at least) remember how quickly the inimitable Grant Hutchison zoomed to 5-star status.  At the time, it seemed like such a mythical achievement…

But what are the star thresholds?

If I remember right, 50 posts gets you your second star, and it seems that 150 gives you three.

250 for 4?

500 for 5? Or is it 1000?

Logomanic Perry has 5 stars and only 800-odd posts.
Therefore, 1000 can’t be the threshold.
