SUGGESTION: Give yourDictionary.com users the option of receiving WOTD subscriptions to their SMS-capable cell phones.  BENEFIT: Users avoid being tethered to a computer to learn a new word - definition(s) or foreign WOTDs.  (Plus, I don’t think the folks @ M-W offer such a service).
