I realise the Agora has trouble with browser forward and back buttons after they started displaying adverts in every page.  When I am one a thread, reading a post, clicking back button only refreshes adverts.  In order to get back to the thread list or previous page, I need to use the tree links.

Not sure if my voice reaches someone who can change things, I hope my voice will not die out without being heard.

I have not experienced this problem, using Firefox 1.5.

Mine is IE6.  Hitting back button does not show the screen I was in before the present page but only refreshes adverts.

Works for me in IE6, also.  Sounds like you might have a problem with your PC…?

That is quite possible since I have strange softwares installed in this PC.  But how about OS?  Mine is Windows XP SP2.

Flam, you don’t by chance have a dial-up connection…?

If so, I wonder if all the ‘stuff’ loading on the page is taking so much bandwidth that it takes so long to load the peripheries on either side that the browser/Internet connection gives up on the page before it’s really done loading…?

I have broad band, Tim.

The problem is now a bit better since I can normally go back from here when first time visiting this present page.

After I finish writing this in the Post reply section and post it, I will come back to this page again.  The problem still persists when I click back button then.  First I will be transferred to a fresh Post reply screen.   Upon clicking the back button for the second time, I will get to nowhere.  Just, as I have described in previous posts, the adverts get refreshed.

Ah, well that’s a bit different.  I haven’t tried going back beyond a fresh post.

My recommendation would be to click the higher branch in the folder tree, rather than clicking the ‘back’ button.

Yea, the back button is never good when you are on a forum. Going back past a post can sometimes lead to problems.
