"Happenings of our site"?
C’mon, yd-Lords: speak English!

I think I may have expressed sentiments to this effect earlier - clearly to no effect, alas… Sigh.

But Coemgenus,
we have had enough of "happenings" recently, if it is to be understood as accidents, incidents and other unpleasant sudden events that require immediate reactions.

Let’s hope such type of "happenings" does not haunt this and other pages of Agora.

Perhaps the ydc sitelords are thinking of happenstance: "an event that might have been arranged although it was really accidental"—that would seem to describe pretty well the occasions on which the Agora has worked problemlos recently. Reminds me of the Italian word for a connection between two train services at a railway junction:
una coincidenza...smile

Leaving aside the question of the first noun, the phrase *«happenings of our site» stikes me as unidiomatic. I should prefer something on the order «happenings on our site» (or in the case of the Agora, perhaps «happenings to our site»). But the use of prepositions in Germanic languages is notoriously fraught with difficulties….
