With Brad on vacation, and Audra recuperating from a car crash, Dr. L has to mind the store by himself.

How busy is he?

He could be busier than a one-armed paperhanger . . .

He could be busier than a cat covering s*** on a tile floor . . .

Just how busy is he?

Busier than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest, I would imagine.

How busy can one be laying on the ground with a sore ass?

I sort of assumed Dr. L didn’t exist.  Kind of like the Wizard of Oz.

If he doesn’t exist then who is the guy at his desk on the other side of this room…?  I’m gonna call security!

There is a row of smilies on the posting page.  Merely click the one that best represents your feelings at the time (  8) ) and there you have it….

Thanks Brad.  When I would try to do it, it just appeared as html code.  I assumed it was my web broswer which usually does not support most things from most sites.  It’s not supportive.  But I just tried it and saw that when I POSTED a response the code magically turns into a face.  :)

You can also hit Preview to see how your text will be formatted.  The Smilies show up there, but the infamous Profanity Filter doesn’t kick in until you post, only to kick out, so to speak, when you quote for a reply.

He’s the guy whose picture makes him look like a college professor, of all things.  Which, I believe, he was and still is.  Not the fun-loving Brad or the sultry Dr. Himes.

Yeah, I saw that picture.  Why does he go by the name of Dr. Language?  This is why I thought he was like the Wizard of Oz.  (They’re similar kinds of names.)

You need to have at the beginning of your italics section, and at the end.

Hey, I still can’t do my italics without EVERYTHING BECOMING ITALICISED.

A pseudonym, I suppose.  I often refer to him as Dr. Bob.  A real nice guy in email; haven’t had the chance to hoist a few with him yet.

ITALICS:  You start with an "i" in square brackets and end with a "/i" in square brackets.  Click the Quote button to look at this message.  Your quoted message (Yeah, . . . EVERYTHING BECOMING ITALICISED) won’t appear in the quote.  The same goes for bold, underline, and all the other tags.  Click each one to insert it into your reply text and then click Preview to see how it is treated.

The tricky one is the URL tag.   When you click it it puts url and /url in square brackets.  To finish forming the link you put an "=" after the "url" and before the "]" and then insert the link after the "=".  You then put some text in between the two tags to give the user something to click on.

Example:

yourDictionary.com is a link to the yDc home page.  Again, click the quote button to see how the link is implemented.  You can test out the link to make sure it works when you hit Preview.
[hr]
Remember, it’s similar to HTML in that you have an opening and a closing tag, except for the horizontal rule "hr" tag.  And for some silly reason, the "hr" tag does not make a rule all the way across the text area, so don’t panic.   smile

Actually, Dr. Language is emeritus (a.k.a. retired).  I’m not sure if Audra professes currently, but I do.
