I’d like to recommend an excellent book.

"Mountain Range - A Dictionary of Expressions from Appalachia to the Ozarks."  by Robert Hendrickson.

Example: "Divin’ in shaller water."  Taking a big risk.

This is a very cool book and explains some of the expressions used in my own family.

Shaller

Shaller is not an English word. Shall is a verb and would not be spelled shaller in any context.
