Dear Agorans,

to date I’ve only been a passive admirer of the ongoings in this forum but the latest task I was assigned requires instant help:

I am looking for the Hungarian translation of the expression "in/of Hamburg"

I was asked (begged) to change a German-Hungarian application form from another branch of our institution.
In this form "Landesversicherungsanstalt Thüringen (LVA)", which more or less means regional pension insurance institute of Thuringia, is translated with Thüringiai Tartományi Biztosító Intézet (LVA). Now I need the equivalent of "Landesversicherungsanstalt Hamburg".

From my minimal command of Finnish, which is also an agglutinative language, I suspect that a simple "Hamburg" is not sufficient, but since the only Hungarian word I know is Egészségedre, I have no idea whether it should by Hamburgi, Hamburgai or whatever.

Could someone please help?

Perhaps a clue… though I speak neither Hungarian nor German.

A search for Hamburgai resulted in a webpage from Latvia (which appeared to be in Hungarian).

That one from Latvia with ‘Hamburgai’ is in Latvian (unsurprisingly).

In case anybody should find himself/herself in the same predicament: Hamburgi is the correct version (I rang the Hungarian embassy and probably made their day by trying to pronounce tartományi biztosító intézet)
