I was googling to figure out the translations to some of the bulgarian songs by ladytron. Originally I set out to find the translation to "Fighting In Built Up Areas" by Ladytron that appears on their Witching Hour album. But found the link to this
http://www.yourdictionary.com/cgi-bin/agora/agora.cgi?board=translate;action=print;num=1115789799
which is the translation and discussion of one of their other songs, Discotraxx. It led me to this wonderful site, and you all seemed so helpful for that last post.

Anywho, I can’t seem to find the actual Bulgarian lyrics to "Fighting In Built Up Areas" but it is one amazing industrial dance song that shows that Bulgarians can ROCK!

If any Bulgarian speakers or readers are able to listen to this song and help me get some kind of interpretation of what Mira Aroyo is singing about, much would be appreciated!

I have UPLOADED the song onto my blog page. So if you would like to have a listen, since I can’t type out the actual lyrics, please go HERE:

Hi, I came here with the same intention (months later).

I’ve found the lyrics online and I have speak Russian, so I have a general understanding of the song.

Zavarshva
Proletta ne chakam
Mostet e zatvoren
Pushyek ne vidya, a oganyat goreshe
Slantseto iznika, nishto ne zapalva
Pushek ne vidya, a oganyat goreshe

Pushek ne vidya, a oganyat goreshe
Relsite se slivat
Patyat pak izchezva
Pushek ne vidya, a oganyat goreshe

Zavarshva
Zashtoto zashto…zavarshva
Zashtoto zashto…zavarshva
Zashtoto zashto…zavarshva

Sedna da vecheryash, dumi ne razmenyash
Pushek ne vidya, a oganyat goreshe
Symna pak blesteshe…ne razmenyash
Pushek ne vidya, a oganyat goreshe
Prasti v dzhoba kriesh, dumi ne razmenyash
Pushek ne vidya, a oganyat goreshe
Syanka v slansche tarsish
Syankata namirash
Pushek ne vidya, a oganyat goreshe

Forgot to mention the understanding.  I believe it’s talking about general destruction, fires burning, etc.  I can’t be too sure, obviously, but the roots of a lot of words are similar between the two languages, so…

do you have the lyrics both to this and Discotraxx in the actual Bulgarian characters? I’ve been looking for it everywhere and have only found the English translation of the Bulgarian lyrics…

As I speak russian I’d say I understand a little, but I would really like to see a translation of this song. I can say it totally rocked when they played in Arvika, Sweden.

It’s over
I’m not waiting for the spring
The bridge is closed
No smoke seen but the fire’s burning
The sun is rising but nothing’s lightened
No smoke seen but the fire’s  burning

No smoke seen but the fire’s  burning
The rails flow together
The road is disappearing again
No smoke seen but the fire’s  burning

It’s over
What for, for what ..... it’s over
What for, for what ..... it’s over
What for, for what ..... it’s over

You sat to have a dinner, but you don`t throw a world
No smoke seen but the fire’s burning
It dawns, it shines again…you don`t throw…
No smoke seen but the fire’s burning
You hide fingers in your pocket
No smoke seen but the fire’s  burning
You seek a shadow on the sun
You find the shadow
No smoke seen but the fire’s  burning

There it is, whit a little help from my friends ;D
