Just a post to bring the thread back to something not so far out.
Hamburger is a sandwich consisting of a cooked patty of ground meat placed in an open bun or between two slices of bread. ..but no ham..
Right/ and we park on driveways and drive on parkways.
And FRENCH FRIES is not originally from french?
French fries originated in Belgium so it should be Belgian fries!

For a few years during the First Persian Gulf War we called them “freedom” fries”, since the French would not join the coalition.
