Then who are the “eggmen”?  Are they rotten and smell bad?  Or do they smell badly?  If they smell badly, they might not mind the walrus hanging about.

I, for one, am finished with the topic and won’t be back since we cannot get an authority to take up the subject.  Carry on, ya’ll.

To feel baldly is the enhanced sensitivity of the scalp enjoyed by the follically challenged.

Yet that mysterious “eggman” just as related “I’m crying” also from this Beatles’ 1967 hit song “I Am the Walrus” could perhaps be yet another Lennonesque nonsequitur referring to compatriot rock great, Eric Burdon of the Animals, known for compulsive egg tossing and for his altogether scorching version of American folksong “The House of the Rising Sun” furiously set loose in helter-skelter 1964!

“I feel badly” is simply hyper-correction and is similar to “just between you and I” and “he spoke to John and myself.” Anyone caught making such fancy mistakes should be kicked out of the debutante club.

I’ve normally seen bad as in “I felt bad about...” vs badly “I feel badly for...”

Sorry, for posting so long after the fact.
