So sorry, but I just had to post this headline from the Associated Press:

Saddam’s Paramilitary Sews More Confusion
Mar 25, 5:53 PM (ET)

By PAULINE JELINEK

[rant]

"Sews More Confusion?"  Are they there to keep us in stitches?  Are their actions seamy, or unseemly?  Or are they really there to sow confusion?  What do they hope to reap?

[/rant]

???

[hr]

I noticed that the headline was corrected in a later edition, undoubtedly the work of a real editor.  ;)

All these puns are beginning to needle me.  :)

Anyway, shouldn’t this thread (pun intended) be re-titled Sew What?  :-[

We could all use a pun-cushion. The matter seams a bit prickly to me.

Oh, don’t punish yourself too much. But maybe we ought to hem this thread in a bit.

OK, no more hemming and hawing. This thread is getting tacky. If any of us had a thimbleful of self-respect, we’d quit needling each other and tailor our remarks sew they’d suit the thread in a more seamly fashion. Let’s hope all serious Agorans cotton on. This is turning into a sew-popra. Let’s cut it out. ;D

You shameless, shameless people!   ::) You are all so clever!  Bravo!

Has there ever been a pun thread started?  I would love to see what you all come up with.  However, it could be dangerous… it would never end!  If there has already been one, let me know where to look for it and when I need to laugh, I can go find it.

Thanks guys!   ;D

Oh, the punishment… I remain convinced that the best puns are contextual—let’s just continue to use them everywhere!
