I think the adjective "arch" would be a great word for WOTD.

I mean the "impudent, saucy" meaning of arch.

YourDictionary.com states that this meaning comes from its use in archknave and archrogue.  It’s strange how words can acquire completely different meanings like that.

By the way, what is the comparative of arch - ‘more arch’ or ‘archer’?

Archaic - nope, already taken, a long time ago.

Overarch looks right, but means bridging, umbrella-like, not catty.

The comparative for catty is cattier, so archer would be more likely, however “more arch” seems to convey more of the meaning.

Can I take a bow ?
