During WWII the Americans sent us tins of spiced ham to supplement our rations. They were most welcome.

What I would like to know is how SPAM made the transition from tinned meat to unwanted e-mails. ???

I’ve heard the claim that the product name does not stand for ‘spiced ham’ as is often claimed, but actually is an acronym for ‘slime posing as meat’.

You be the judge.
