Acknowledgement of one another’s faults is the highest duty imposed by our love of truth

Unfortunately, too many people are more willing to acknowledge others’ faults than their own, believing that their opinions and truth are synonymous.  A fault I must admit indulging in as often as others.

[quote author=KatyBr link=board=wordsuggest;num=1062175909;start=0#2 date=08/29/03 at 15:07:10]or as Sitran says:
"One always hates the most in others the flaws one finds in one’s self."

And the great philosopher  ::) Ed Vedder says "If you hate something, doncha do it too?". But that’s not always the case. The thing I hate most is people who don’t signal when changing lanes or turning and I always signal.

I don’t think that people who don’t signal are necessarily being lazy or inconsiderate.  They just may not want you to know where they’re going.  Don’t they have a right to privacy?

PS  The reason for signaling and obeying the other conventions of driving is, of course, to help predict and anticipate a course of action, whether or not there is trouble ahead.  It makes driving less like playing chicken.
