I second your suggestion, Robby.

The word Hippodrome reminds me that that is what the venue for popular shows (theatre would be far too grand a term…) was called in the town near which I grew up in the 50s—and reminds me, too, that music halls and the like frequently boasted such ‘classical’ monikers: Hippodrome, Palladium, Coliseum, etc. As kids, of course, we had no idea that the Hippodrome should have contained horses!
