Just musing over my role as usherette. I sort of like that. Please, come in, have a seat, get comfortable… and talk about some words.

GOG places you somewhere between GOOGLE and GOD in the ranks of the omniscient, but hey, its yourwebsite, and you’re an obliviate GOG - does that mean we’re all agorans, or all agog ?

Well, I like Sci Fi as much as anybody. Battlestar Galactica notwithstanding, but Galactic Over-goddess?  Sort of like Xayide in Neverending Story (Ende).  I do admit usherette is cute, but a little understated when in the company of some of WoTD’s peers. I still think flight attendant might be apropos considering the flights of etymology to which we excel. And this site is definitely a Galaxy sometimes like the bar scene in Star Wars.

I’ll drink to that, Luke!  Usherette is cute, but uberette is probably closer to the mark.

The WOTD archives would have us believe that a demaGOGue is a ranting, populist, irresponsible playmate - but I’m in no position to judge.

Doug:  I wonder if our Galactic Over-goddess is dancing a GOGO over all the attention.  She might even be coming GAGA over the attention, if indeed it is possible for a GOG to become GAGA.
