mutamus ad vivendum.
Henri, according to my reformist pilpel, writing "Akemashi te…" is not a misdimeanour even if the said act takes place within the first three days of the new year. Let’s be practical. Otherwise what can I do with people whose nengajoos (new year greating postcards) have reached my mailbox on January 1 but whom I did not send one to?
For several years now discount stores, followd by classy deparment stores, have been pre-empting their new year sales on the first of January. Wishing them good luck, I wait for a day when the said sales will be done in the last several days of December, keeping sacred/screwed new year days very quiet but not so much immobile. How’s that?
