Cinque Terre

(chēngˈkwĕ tĕrˈrĕ)

A group of five villages (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore) of northwest Italy on the Ligurian Sea south of Genoa. Built into the sheer rocky coast, they are famed for their rugged scenery.
