A commercial activity that confuses or deceives the public about a product or service. For example, in January 2007 Cisco Systems filed a lawsuit claiming trademark infringement and unfair competition relative to Apple, Inc. introducing its “iPhone," a trademark that Cisco registered in June 2000.
