tabloid definition - business

tabloid

A newspaper approximately half the physical size of a regular (“broadsheet") newspaper. The smaller size is generally easier to hold, especially for commuters, and is popular among publishers in the United Kingdom. The smaller size is often associated with newspapers that concentrate on sensationalism (murders, kidnappings, salacious stories) and have many large photographs.
