- An individual, business, or other organization that pays part or all of the expenses for a radio or television program.
- An individual, business or other organization that takes responsibility for managing and/or financing an organized activity: The bank served as a sponsor of the annual festival.
- The individual or entity that establishes or helps establish a mutual fund.
- A general partner who organizes and promotes a limited partnership.
