reserve stock control

reserve stock control definition - business

reserve stock control

Determining the inventory level by adding deliveries and subtracting distributions from the previous inventory level. For example, if beginning inventory is 500 units, and 250 units are added and 200 units are distributed or sold, the current inventory should be 550 units. Reserve stock control allows a firm to maintain a running total of inventory without counting the physical stock.
