recycling

recycling definition - business

recycling

Reclaiming and altering the physical form of resources that have been, or would normally be, discarded as waste. Recycling is differentiated from reuse, which does not alter the physical form of the discarded resource. Sanitizing and refilling soft drink or beer bottles for resale is an example of reuse, not recycling.
