pulsing

pulsing definition - business

pulsing

Advertising in concentrated bursts rather than continuously. Pulsing can overcome the problems of deteriorating ad quality and listener fatigue that may occur with continuous advertising.

Is pulsing of advertising more effective with particular types of goods and services? If so, can you provide some examples?

Pulsed advertising can be very effective after you have had a product on the market for a while and want to either reinforce the message of your product or communicate new information about your product or service. Be sure to have a good mix of advertising vehicles (print, online, television, etc.) to ensure maximum impact.
