peer-to-peer (P2P) marketing

A promotional program in which customers are encouraged to attract additional customers by promoting a product or service to friends and acquaintances. P2P marketing is practiced by some credit card companies, which offer incentives to cardholders who encourage acquaintances to submit applications.
