A for-profit publicly traded company formed in 2007 by the merger of NYSE Group, Inc., and Euronext N.V. NYSE Euronext serves as the parent of NYSE Group, which operates the New York Stock Exchange (floor-based trading) and NYSE Arca (electronic trading), and of Euronext, a pan-European exchange.
