North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA)

A 1994 agreement by the governments of Canada, Mexico, and the United States to stimulate trade and investment by lowering or eliminating trade barriers among the three countries. Provisions of the agreement also addressed worker and environmental concerns. See also fast track 2.
