New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX)

A commodity futures and options exchange with two divisions: the NYMEX Division, trading contracts for crude oil, heating oil, gasoline, natural gas, propane, platinum, and palladium, and the COMEX Division, trading contracts for gold, silver, copper, and the Eurotop 100 Index. The current exchange is the result of a 1994 merger of the New York Mercantile Exchange and the Commodity Exchange (COMEX).
