moving expense deduction
The deduction permitted for unreimbursed moving expenses involved in relocating to a new job that meets both the distance and time tests established by the IRS. The new job must be at least 50 miles farther from the taxpayer's former home than the old job location. In addition, the taxpayer must work full-time at the new job for at least 39 weeks of the first 12 months following the move.
