groupthink definition - business

groupthink

Faulty decision making caused by group members' desire for conformity and a failure to adequately consider alternatives. Some studies indicate groups with initial dissent are more likely to make a correct decision. Groupthink is less likely when dissent is encouraged and members have diverse viewpoints.
