  1. Rapid advancement in an organization's management structure that is sometimes offered to employees considered to have special promise.
  2. The legislative procedure in which Congress is required to vote without offering amendments on foreign trade agreements submitted by the President. For example, the North America Free Trade Agreement was passed as fast-track legislation.
