  1. Acknowledgment of a transaction that generally lists important details such as date, size of the transaction, price, commission, taxes, and amount of money involved.
  2. In security analysis, the reaction of one technical indicator (such as the movement of a stock price average) that strengthens a signal given by another indicator.
  3. In accounting, a written reply to an auditor's request for verification of accounts receivable or payable.
