conciliation definition - business

conciliation

Dispute resolution in which the parties in dispute are not in the same room. A conciliator meets with each party separately in an attempt to narrow the differences and convince the parties to agree to a general meeting. Conciliation differs from mediation, in which the parties in dispute meet directly with a neutral third party.
