Special features that are added to ordinary products to attract buyers' attention. For example, a vehicle may include an especially high-end music system. Bells and whistles also apply to investment assets. Some bonds include a put feature, while preferred stock may include floating dividends. Also called kickers, wrinkles. See also plain-vanilla.
