type of corporate takeover in which the buyer is taking over a company in order
to sell the companys assets. The income from the sale of the assets pays for
the debt incurred in funding the takeover. The buyer will profit if the value
of the assets sold exceeds the liabilities incurred in acquiring the target
company.
