Network Information Centre (APNIC)
Hacker Definition
One of five Regional Internet Registries operating globally
to register and administer IP Addresses, this one serves the Asia Pacific
region. It is a not-for-profit organization whose constituents consist of 62
economies and include Internet Service Providers, National Internet Registries,
and like organizations. Membership in APNIC gives organizations access to all
services, including requests for allocation and registration of IP Address
resources as well as registration at specialized training courses. Membership
also gives organizations an opportunity to participate in policy development
processes and to have voting rights at membership meetings.
